The  International Futures Fund ( IFF) is High Tech High International’s Parent Association fundraising campaign to support our school.  This fundraising campaign supports the programs that make High Tech High a unique, world-renowned educational experience (have you watched  Most Likely to Succeed , a documentary about the HTH approach?) – things like college tours and classroom projects. School Year 2020-2021 Update

  The 2020 school year will begin on Monday, August 31st via distance learning. Student schedules will be sent out the week before school begins.  Welcome packages are being created for all students for the beginning of the school year. More details on pick up dates/times to follow.  Students will be engaged in a minimum of 4 hours of instruction daily (Monday–Friday). This will include a combination of Zoom calls, video lectures, collaborative group work, project work and independent skill work to name a few. Students will have daily live interactions which will include a class/cohort of students and a teacher. Zoom office hours for parents will be held weekly with admin staff. Zoom office hours for students will be available weekly with both teachers and admin staff. Java with Jade Join us on Friday, Feb. 28th at 8:30 am in the commons for this month's Java with Jade.  The topic for this meeting is the school budget.  There will also be time to ask any questions about things that interest you. Donations Please donate any and all school supplies to the front desk.  They also need individually wrapped snacks for students such as granola bars, trail mix, breakfast bars, etc.  Thank you. Hello HTHI Families! Please join us for  TACOS Before the ALL grade Exhibition Night  Wednesday, December 18th! Tacos will be served from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm $2.50 each taco and drinks $1 OR 2 tacos and a drink for $6 Plan to come early so you can enjoy dinner! You can support this fundraiser by donating drinks to be sold with the tacos.  We are selling bottled water, canned soft drinks, and iced teas. Please drop off your donations at the HTHI front desk on Tuesday or Wednesday or bring them directly to the sales table across from the school starting at 3:00 p.m. Questions? Java with Jade Join us on Friday, Dec. 6th at 8:30 am in the commons for this month's Java with Jade.  Our featured speaker will be HTHI's 12th grade math teacher, Will Haase.  He will be discussing his research on the mental health of kids in light of technology challenges we face today.  For those interested in some interesting reading on the subject, Will recommends the following books: Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport iGen: Why today's Super-Connected Kids Are Growing Up Less Rebellious, More Tolerant, Less Happy--and Completely Unprepared for Adulthood--and What That Means for the Rest of Us by Jean M.
