HTHI Volunteer Opportunities

hthilogo09Our school truly needs volunteers, especially with the state budget for education being as tight as it is right now. Please consider doing what you can – it would be greatly appreciated!

School Site has opportunities for parents to help out.

Additional Notes on As-Needed Volunteer Opportunities

Fieldtrip Drivers: HIGHLY NEEDED throughout the year. Drivers needed to take carload of students on fieldtrips. This is a vital task, making it possible for our children to participate in enriching activities that the team budgets can not otherwise afford (public transportation can be expensive and unfortunately is very time consuming and difficult to many locations.) Please let your student’s teachers know if you can help. Click for Driver Registration Form.

Internship Drivers: Drive students to their internships. Transportation is challenging and we are always looking for volunteers to help drive students to their sites. Internship drivers will drive various students to sites within the same area. Please contact your student’s teachers if you are interested in volunteering. Click for Driver Registration Form.

Grant Writers: Help teachers write grants that will help support buying additional resource materials and equipment for the classroom on an as needed basis. Grant writing experience preferred. Please contact your student’s teachers, or if they don’t need you, Ian Eggleston, at ieggleston@hightechhigh.org to maybe assist another teacher with their grant writing needs

NOTE: HTHI PA is helping the school by collecting information on parents wanting to volunteer. Click here for form.

2017 Spring Exhibition

Thank you to all the parents, students, teachers and others who attended, presented and helped at the 2017 Spring Exhibition last night. Besides the awesome projects and meeting lots of new incoming 9th grade families, the Parent Association sold a whopping 741 tacos and half our inventory of tshirts! Our community raised $786 which goes directly back into the school to fund programs like Immersion week, teacher appreciation lunches and more. If you would like to volunteer with the Parent Association next year, please email us at hthipa@gmail.com or plan to attend the monthly meetings held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 8:30am in the main commons.  Have a safe and happy summer! See you on the first day of school Monday August 28th

Note to Darcy Aug 21 2011 from June

Darcy - I've put different notes for you on the different screens. For the new website post to see you need to scroll down a lot. Do not erase or overwrite any POSTS - it's okay to do that to the PAGES. If you copy and paste from WORD or another web screen it's important to remove the formatting I put notes in the pages for you. Just leave the Events and Calendar pages alone for now... There are links to the other school PA sites on the left side of all the screens - click and see what they are doing. If you can get headshots of your board, please send to me! And as before, please do not change or give away the password - but if you do just send to me so it's on file and I know who has it! If someone else needs to be adding things to the site you can click on Settings then Permissions and send them an invitation - then when they post it will be on their name. : ) June
